Letter From the Recruitment Chair
Welcome to Georgia College!
My name is Mackenzie Newsome, and I am Zeta Tau Alpha’s Recruitment Chair.
If you haven’t already signed up, I want to encourage you to go Greek. The transition into college can seem overwhelming, but joining a sorority and getting involved in the Greek community is one of the best ways to help you feel at home the moment you start college.
Zeta Tau Alpha is a group of young women who strive for academic excellence, raise money for Breast Cancer Education and Awareness, and volunteer in the local community. We host many events each year to raise money for our philanthropy, but the two main fundraisers are the Thriller 5k and the Strawberry Sale. We also visit the animal shelter and local elementary schools as a way to give back to the surrounding community.
Being involved with these women allows you to grow in ways you never thought possible, to learn things you never thought you needed know, and to become the leader you never thought you were capable of being. Zeta Tau Alpha has blessed me with lifelong friendships with more than 200 women who love, support, and encourage me to be better everyday. Zeta Tau Alpha has helped mold me into the woman I am today, and I say with confidence that my college experience would not be what it is without the women of Zeta Tau Alpha.
We look forward to meeting you in August and welcoming you to the Georgia College family. Please feel free to email me with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Have a great summer, and GO BOBCATS!
